Panasonic Camera Case
Its both HD and SD and its borderline pro yet still works with standard computer systems. 10,000 you get far larger CCDs and the ability to use professional microphones, but a vastly superior casing and camera. SDC615 This is really entry level PRO and you still dont get interchanable lenses. Video and other inputs and outputs.
They all let you use external mics or wireless mics. But the LAST one uses professional XLR standard mics. If you want to go all out in Editing there is the Avid System.
Avid FREE works ok, but you need a machine that is full metal jacket.
GHtz speed and 1 GB RAM and LOADS of hard drive. Pro Tools and one for Avid as it would take a MONSTER machine to run both at the same time. 20K for something that will actually make a professional TV show or movie that wont look totally low grade. Then you need a dolly and gear head for the camera, a fluid head and tripod and spider for the camera, a hi hat. 5K although some of this you can rent. 50K you can make a pretty decent TV show or modest feature film. 20K rig is going to be negligable if you have a fast computer on TV. If you are going to theatrical work, you probably will see a difference.
On a big screen Red and Blue fringe will be noticable. It wont on TV, even big screent HD TV. You do want to have 3 CCD camera and good CODEX for video transfers. 300 DV camcorder you wont see much differences except a little bit of clarity and less blue and red fringe. What you gain are faster speeds in recording, the ability to do 4:2:2 recording instead of 4:1:1 LEss compression. Another thing you might want to look into a ANALOG BETACAM SP. 7,000 YOu go straight from there to Digital. Betacam SP is still in VERY wide use. It will not stand up to the HD world, however. 2,000 or more to load it to. 2,500, so youll have to offload BACK to your camera and take that to a professional lab for further processing. If youre going to go HD you need to make sure EACH CCD has 2 MP and that it will do 1080 and 720.
This is enough to get to theatrical realse and look like an older 35mm movie or maybe a Super 16 movie. 25,000 for better lenses and NO COMPRESSION. Dont forget you also need microphones. Nice Senheisers for video work.
Wireless transmitters and receivers, a mixing board for field work with multiple mics, a shock mount, a boom. For music, narration and vocals you will need ultra high quality mics. Minimum would be an RE20 for male vocals. 4033 for singing and females. If youre going to do production sound with singing, you REALLY need to invest in a pair of M59, M60 that are matched.
